DAISUKE KATAYAMA
STATEMENT
Born in Niigata, 1984. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 2006.
Daisuke Katayama has been expressing his unique imaginary world, which is as if in between reality and fiction, as sculptures with FRP and paintings with acrylic since he was a student at Tokyo Zokei University. Picking up one scene from the imaginary world, he then expresses it with picture-book like colors. He is also good at producing workshops for children regularly which remind us of our childhood activities with a playful spirit such as a “secret base”.
